West Vancouver Family Photo shoot

This beautiful family is new to vancouver and we wanted to showcase a little west coast feel.

We went down by the water for the last couple of shots to get the lions gate bridge in the back. I think they turned out perfectly. They also hit the nail on the head for outfits! Coordinating but not matching! Beautiful job mama!

Welcome to Vancouver, we hope you love it as much as we do!

Salt spring wedding

Salt spring Island wedding. If you have never been to Salt spring Island, I suggest you add it to your list.

E&N on Salt Spring Island. They run a beautiful farm and decided to have their wedding on the farm. Mostly everything at the wedding was grown/raised on the farm. The farm to table dinner was amazing!

The attire from the wedding party was vibrant and colourful- just like the brides. They were surrounded by so much love and laughter. Everyone there loved them so much and it was so nice to see everyone come together and enjoy a beautiful wedding and ceremony at such a beautiful location.

Here are a few of my favourites from their wedding day.

If you are looking for a little destination for your wedding, look at Bullock farms- it was so beautiful.

Couples Session at Blackie Spit Park (the Best Date Night)

Is it just me, or are our relationships in need of some TLC? We’ve had a lot of time at home in the past year, which can put a strain on relationships of all kinds (parents, couples, siblings, you name it). One way to keep things interesting is by going on dates and setting aside one on one time with each other. So, here’s a fun idea, why not throw a photo session into a date night?

Seriously, when was the last time you and your partner had photos done together? This session was at my favourite location, Blackie Spit Park in Surrey, and the couple was prepared to have FUN. They brought music and drinks and just enjoyed their one-on-one time together. You could feel the chemistry between them, and you knew they were enjoying themselves. Really, a photo date night wins all ways, not only is it a date night (necessary) but you also have keepsakes to hang on to.

Pitt Meadows Intimate Wedding - Emma and Wayne

The past 18 months have been all about adapting - wedding planners and couples, I see you. While weddings are one of the many things that have been impacted and changed since the pandemic, the truth is, we are constantly adapting, growing, and changing. Emma and Wayne’s Pitt Meadows wedding was adapted to the restrictions during the third wave of the pandemic in May, and it was beautiful and perfect for everyone. They chose the stunning Alouette River area of Pitt Meadows and it did not disappoint.

There is something special about a blended family because there is an exceptional amount of love and coordination that goes into them. It’s not just your and your partner’s lives you’re impacting, it’s everyone involved, and it’s a lot to take on from any angle you look at it. I’m lucky enough to be in a wonderful situation where my kids and my bonus kids (my partner’s kids) get along really well. But, this isn’t always the case, and that’s okay!

At Emma and Wayne’s wedding, Emma made a heartwarming point of saying her vows to her new stepson. This was a beautiful gesture and a loving start to their new normal together. I wish this growing family all the best and am excited to see where their adventures take them in the future.
